Dr. Derek Pantiel grew up in the Piedmont area and received his podiatric medical degree from The Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and completed a three year surgical residency program at the Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
While an undergraduate at North Carolina Central University, Dr. Pantiel served as a representative with the University of North Carolina Board of Governors and was President of the UNC Association of Student Governments. As a podiatric practitioner, Dr. Pantiel is dedicated to providing the best care possible, representing the podiatric profession to the highest standard through conservative and surgical techniques, and serving as a role model in the community.
Dr. Pantiel joins Dr. Ross Jenkins in the practice of podiatry at Horizon Foot and Ankle. Drs. Pantiel and Jenkins offer comprehensive care providing conservative and surgical options and treat a full range of foot and ankle problems and injuries. Dr. Pantiel is on staff and works in conjunction with the limb salvage team and Wound Care Treatment at Caldwell Memorial UNC Healthcare.
He and his wife Lanetta enjoy exploring the area around their new Western North Carolina home.
